Cooperative Regulations

I am hoping that some here may be able to point me to resources on legal and/or regulatory requirements for Cooperative businesses either in the UK or elsewhere. I already have information around rural electrical cooperatives and other forms of mutual corporations (credit unions, insurance), but would like to get some additional perspectives.
